Jiangyan district sees increase in business entities in H1

In the first half of the year, the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – saw a significant increase in the number of its new business entities, ranging from sole traders, individual businesses all the way up to companies.

In the six months, a total of 6,608 new entities were registered in Jiangyan, marking a 35.69 percent increase compared with the same period last year.

They had total registered capital of 12.71 billion yuan ($1.76 billion), representing a 36.23 percent year-on-year gain.

Among the registered business entities, 1,769 were enterprises, showing a year-on-year increase of 17.93 percent. These enterprises had a registered capital of 11.97 billion yuan, up 35.62 percent on last year.

Additionally, there were 4,832 individual businesses, higher by 43.68 percent year-on-year, with registered capital of 738 million yuan, up by 52.79 percent year-on-year.

The Jiangyan district has been actively implementing a "streamlining administration, delegating powers and improving services" reform to boost overall enterprise services and improve the business environment.

Efforts have been made to simplify the administrative processes, improve convenience for businesses and boost market vitality.

Initiatives include upgrading to a "one-stop" service for business registrations, implementing unified registration standards and providing standardized operations templates.

What's more, on-site visits and research supervision are being conducted to address urgent issues being faced by enterprises and provide guidance for business operations.
