The Jiangyan district of Taizhou city – which is located in East China's Jiangsu province – is ramping up efforts to accelerate its construction of a raft of projects, in order to boost its development.
On Jan 31, a groundbreaking ceremony was held there for the start of construction of 28 major projects, with a total investment of more than 10 billion yuan ($1.48 billion). By the end of April, 21 out of the projects had started construction.
One of them was Jiangsu Saiyang Electromechanical Technology Co Ltd's Suhong Electronics Production Plant, situated in the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone, which has since stepped up its construction and is now in full swing.

Founded in 2010, the company is a high-tech venture specializing in the R&D, manufacturing and sales of CNC machine tool support products. CNC – or computer numerical controlled machine tools – are sophisticated metalworking tools that can create complicated parts required by modern technology.
Costing 560 million yuan, the plant covers an area of 121 mu (8.07 hectares). On completion, the annual invoiced revenue of the plant is projected to reach 600 million yuan.
"The Jiangyan Economic Development Zone gave us strong support during the whole planning process and our project construction time can be shortened to 10 months," said Qian Qiang, assistant general manager of the company.
Qian added that the plant was scheduled to start operating in October.
