A total of 48 projects worth 24.1 billion yuan ($3.5 billion) were signed at the 2023 Jiangyan Qintong Boat Festival Industrial Investment Promotion Conference on April 8 – in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city, located in East China's Jiangsu province.

The projects cover various fields and 36 of them were related to Jiangyan's pillar industries.
Five are in the health industry, 11 in solar power and lithium batteries, two in electronics information, 11 in new materials, seven in auto parts, as well as in oil and gas equipment – with a combined investment of 20.57 billion yuan – accounting for 85.35 percent of the total investment.
Of the 48 projects, four were signed by five State-owned enterprises and 19 projects worth 14.58 billion yuan were signed by five major industrial parks in Jiangyan, with an investment of 14.58 billion yuan.
One particularly appealing venture – aimed at developing an international industrial park through the use of advanced trenchless technology – was signed by the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone and 5Elem Hi-Tech Corporation Technology Co Ltd and will cost 3 billion yuan.
The zone also signed contracts with Shanghai Jiao Tong University – one of the most prestigious institutions of higher education in China – to bring together firms, universities and research institutes to engage in innovation and development.
