Qintong Ancient Town is a 4A-rated tourist attraction that is immensely appealing and popular – located in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province.
It boasts over 20,000 square meters of ancient buildings that date back to the Ming (1368-1644) and Qing (1644-1911) dynasties as well as 23 ancient streets and alleys.
Ancient trees are to be found all over the town, including a Chinese scholar tree dating back to Tang Dynasty (618-907) and a camellia tree that set a Guinness world record as the oldest cultivated camellia tree.
The town has been home to a raft of prominent figures in the country, who were enamored with the surroundings and pursued their studies there.
