Over 60 children of migrant workers have had their education difficulties resolved to date by the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone, located in Huangqiao town in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province, while it has pursued rapid economic development.
The zone has collected their enrollment needs in advance, sorted them into categories, including intended school, enrollment grade and hometown, and arranged for eligible children to attend public schools.
Regular visits have also been conducted by zone representatives to local businesses, such as Sunpower, Huierxin Machinery and Dongsheng Biotech, to improve policy awareness and the satisfaction of employers.
The zone's enterprise service department, in conjunction with the local social affairs bureau, has actively communicated and coordinated with various schools to simplify the application materials for student admissions.
So far in August, the zone has processed procedures for 22 primary school students and four junior high school students of migrant workers to study in Huangqiao town, where the zone is located.
