Dongsheng Biotech (Taixing), based in the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province, recently received special central funding to help it refine and regulate air emissions.
The company's biomass boiler deepening renovation project has been approved with a funding of 960,000 yuan ($134,832).
The project will upgrade and renovate the existing biomass boiler's SNCR denitrification system, bag filter and other waste gas treatment facilities.
This is expected to make the emission indicators after flue gas purification much lower than the emission standards.
The emissions of particulate matter and nitrogen oxides after the renovation will also be reduced from 2.77 metric tons per year and 23.6 tons per year to 0.03 tons per year and 9.08 tons per year, respectively.
The central fund is used to support the prevention and control of air pollution and to coordinate the response to climate change.
The focus is on supporting the comprehensive treatment of volatile organic compounds, the upgrading of pollution control facilities in key industries and the comprehensive treatment of industrial furnaces and kilns.
