The Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone – located in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – has been promoting its manufacturing industry's move into intelligent production.
There's a raft of examples that showcase the zone's progress in ramping up its economic development.
In the intelligent manufacturing workshop that conducts piston machining, operated by Jiangsu Huaxing Electromechanical Manufacturing Co Ltd, the intelligent control of the production process, the intelligence of key processes and the replacement of manual labor by robots in key positions have all been achieved.
The workshop has been equipped with 56 sets of intelligent equipment that have realized device networking and remote monitoring.
The company mainly produces engine pistons, with leading domestic piston automatic casting equipment, mechanical processing equipment, piston testing equipment and engine laboratories.
Elsewhere, Jiangsu Sunpower Co Ltd has introduced automation and intelligent quality control of production processes by rolling out advanced IoT technology and big data analysis.
This is said to have reduced the defect rate in its products by an estimated 20 percent, making the production process more predictable.
At Dongsheng Biotech (Taixing) Co Ltd, the TG enzymes preparation microbial fermentation intelligent workshop is the first intelligent microbial fermentation production workshop in China.
It has an application rate of intelligent equipment in the workshop that tops 95 percent and an equipment networking rate that has reached 100 percent.
