During the visit, the delegation listened to a presentation by Professor Gao Minjie and his team on the operating principles, innovative achievements and social value of biomimetic gastrointestinal reactors.
Delegation members said they hoped that the zone's two institutes could become a new mecca for developing future food and would continue to develop more special medical foods catering to market demand.
Using the inspection as an opportunity, plans are for the zone to further strengthen industry-university-research cooperation.
Professor Gao Minjie said it would also promote the transformation of high-end, intelligent and green project achievements to support the development of the health industry.
