The first Bio-fermentation and Future Food City of China New Food Raw Material Innovation and Development Conference was held in Taixing city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – on Dec 29.
A signing ceremony for the planned Special Medical Food Research Institute of Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute also took place during the event.
The facility will be the first research institute jointly developed by the Jiangsu Industrial Technology Research Institute and the Taizhou Industrial Technology Research Institute.
The signing marked Taizhou's determination to create a pilot zone for the innovative application of national biosynthetic new food raw materials.
The planned research institute will focus on creating efficient special medical food preparation technologies, as well as research and development of specific disease nutritional substrates and manufacturing processes – helping to accelerate the transformation and commercialization of scientific and technological achievements.
