Shao Ming, director of the Administrative Commission of the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone – in Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – visited Shunyi Garment, Ninesky Optoelectronics Technology, Fengsheng Textile and other local manufacturers to guide flood controls on July 7.
The zone held a deployment meeting for flood prevention the night before. That was in a bid to make a scientific deployment of flood prevention actions and make sure that all flood prevention measures were in place.

In response to the heavy and fierce rainfall during the flood season, the zone is applying a warning mechanism for rain squalls – screening during the rain and verifying after the rain storm has passed.
The zone has assisted local enterprises to check indoors and surrounding drainage systems, low-lying areas and hazardous chemical warehouses to ensure early detection and prevention.
It has also assured that a 24-hour duty system and emergency dispatch work has been conducted. It has strengthened its reserve of emergency supplies and expanded them to bolster its flood prevention and disaster reduction capabilities.
