Authorities of Taizhou, East China's Jiangsu province, recently launched special support funds for e-commerce development.
The funds can be used for purposes including the creation of e-commerce demonstration, enterprise exploration of online markets, e-commerce carrier construction and cross-border e-commerce development.
Applicants stand to receive a one-time reward of 400,000 yuan ($57,170) and a maximum subsidy of 500,000 yuan.
An online application as well as a written application for the funds must be submitted by May 26.
Materials such as the commitment responsibility letter for the use of financial special funds and the e-commerce project application form need to be submitted to local commercial and financial departments.
The funds are expected to promote the development of new industries, formats, and models such as live streaming e-commerce and new retail, as well as foster collaborative construction of the express logistics and e-commerce sectors.
