The Taizhou Pharmaceutical Group's health industrial park located in Hailing district, Taizhou, with an investment of 1.08 billion yuan ($148.74 million), and is nearing the final stages of equipment foundation construction.
The Taizhou Pharmaceutical Group is a comprehensive commercial enterprise specializing in pharmaceutical wholesales and the production and sale of traditional Chinese medicine.
In recent years, the company's robust growth and ongoing business expansion have outpaced the production capacity of its aging factories.
The Health Industrial Park project, which was a key 2024 project in Jiangsu province, is segmented into two primary components, a production workshop for the Traditional Chinese Medicine slices and a pharmaceutical storage and logistics center.
The workshop employs state-of-the-art processing technology facilitating the production of TCM slices and several healthcare products.
The center features a 24-meter-tall automated storage system and fully automated conveyance lines. It leverages advanced information technologies, including big data, cloud computing, and the Internet of Things, to ensure precise temperature and humidity control within the storage area.
"This relocation represents not only a substantial enhancement of our hardware facilities but also a milestone in our company's transition to a new phase of development," said Xie Chunhai, project manager of the pharmaceutical storage and logistics center.
With the completion of the first phase of the project, the group's output value is projected to surpass 5 billion yuan annually, with taxes and profits totaling nearly 200 million yuan.
