To celebrate International Children's Day on June 1, the Women's Federation of Jingtai Road subdistrict in the Hailing Industrial Park – located in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – teamed up with the children's rehabilitation department of the local Community Health Center to host a special event to mark the day for autistic kids.
The event featured an energetic African drum performance by the children and volunteers, creating a lively and fun vibe.
During a long scroll painting activity, the kids' vivid imaginations enchanted those present, highlighting their dreams and creativity despite their communications challenges.
A highlight of the event was a cake-cutting ceremony, where kids and adults shared the warmth and joy of the celebration together. [Photo/Hailing Industrial Park via WeChat account: gh_4df9b5f9b40b]
Adding to all the fun, the Women's Federation and Taizhou Zoo organized a Children's Day special zoo experience class, allowing autistic kids to have close encounters with animals and nature.
The initiative is widely appreciated to have provided an unforgettable Children's Day for all participants.
