The Jiangsu Province National Fitness Games kick-started to great fanfare at the Cultural and Creative Industry Park in the Hailing district of Taizhou city – in East China's Jiangsu province – on April 5.
The event hosted the qualifying round for the Taizhou division of the 9th Jiangsu Province National Fitness Games, focusing specifically on esports.
Drawing in the keen interest of fans, the competition attracted the participation of 40 teams and over 200 players.
The esports competition featured two popular gaming titles: Honor of Kings and League of Legends.
The champions and runners-up from each game will have the honor of representing Taizhou at the provincial stage of the 9th Jiangsu Province National Fitness Games, showcasing the city's gaming talent on a larger platform.
