The Hailing district of Taizhou city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – unveiled an ambitious set of development goals for 2024, officials told a press conference on Dec 28.
At the top of the list, Hailing's GDP growth rate is predicted to top 6.5 percent, with per capita disposable income of residents set to rise in tandem with economic growth.
Moreover, Hailing's total retail sales of consumer goods are projected to increase by about 7 percent, while the total value of imports and exports is expected to reach $1.9 billion. What's more, the actual use of foreign investment is expected to reach $210 million.
In order to further bolster its high-quality development, Hailing released five focus areas for 2024 – transformation and upgrading, reform and innovation, coordinated development, people's livelihoods and safety and stability.
