Officials from the municipal government of Taizhou – located in East China's Jiangsu province – recently conducted inspections of three major night market venues in the city's urban area and the results were very encouraging indeed.
Located in the Jingtai Road sub-district of the city's Hailing district, the Jingtai night fair was established in June and is equipped with 176 stands. It mainly sells snacks, products and commodities and operates small amusement rides.
"Every night, three cleaners take turns to be on duty at the fair to sweep the trash away," said Liao Shezhen, a night cleaner.
The fire safety of the night market is also said to be well done, being well equipped with fire extinguishers and fire blankets.
However, of concern was that some stalls had loud music which could disturb residents. It was decided to rectify that during the inspection.
