In Hailing district of Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province, picturesque rural landscapes can be seen everywhere. This is the result of the district's continuous efforts to improve its rural living conditions.
Recently, Hailing announced a batch of demonstration villages, and Donglou village in Gangyang town stands out as a rising star thanks to its No 8 River Remediation project. The village dedicated significant efforts to activities such as dredging and silt removal, with a particular focus on enhancing greenery. As a result, the once-neglected river now flows smoothly with crystal clear waters. At the same time, its riverbanks have been generously adorned with lush greenery, creating a picturesque landscape that residents can now enjoy.
Another rising star in the recently released batch of demonstration villages is Weixu village on Chengdong sub-district. It launched a campaign entitled "Clean Home", which rallied residents to join the community improvement project. The project was led by Party members and local officials.
Xiaqi community in Suchen town is also a noteworthy demonstration village. It took the lead in waste management and community enhancement by constructing garbage sorting kiosks, renovating public restrooms, and cleaning and revitalizing eight river channels.
