Tasked with establishing on its grounds an information city as well as a scientific innovation city, Hailing Industrial Park in Hailing district of Taizhou city, Jiangsu province, has in recent years made efforts to develop industrial clusters and help advantageous industries flourish.
Led by the automotive parts and new materials industries, the district is now focused on building industrial clusters with a production output value of at least 2 billion yuan ($273.6 million) apiece.
Hailing Industrial Park is home to 28 industrial enterprises above a designated size, or those with annual revenue of 20 million yuan or more. Their products cover such fields as chemical fibers, fluorinated materials, special welding materials, waterproof materials, oil and gas transmission pipelines, plastic pipes, and electronic packaging materials.
More large-scale and influential enterprises are ramping up their investment in the park now as it has accelerated the pace of development of the new materials industry.
Haiyang Technology Co Ltd, as a prime example, has become a leading enterprise in the national nylon chemical fiber industry, and has been certified as the only "China Fishing Chemical Fiber Material Research and Production Base" in China.
The industrial park has also taken measures to build a group of specialized and distinctive zones, such as a cultural and creative industrial park and a smart home appliance industrial park, in order to improve the efficiency of industrial development by way of the cluster effect.
