New eco-friendly soft stone materials have been developed by Jiangsu Baidai Energy-Saving Building Materials Co Ltd, located in the Hailing Industrial Park, in Taizhou city of East China's Jiangsu province, which can improve the durability and safety of buildings' exterior walls.
The company's soft stone material has integrated the flexibility of organic materials with the aging resistance of inorganic materials, offering widespread use.
"Our products are available nationwide, and there are no issues when they are used at an altitude of 4,774 meters in Lhasa, capital of the Tibet autonomous region," said Yang Guihua, deputy general manager of the company.

The company's soft stone materials take natural mineral powder as their raw material, which can achieve zero emissions and pollution during the product forming process.
In addition, more than a thousand colors of coating materials can be chosen by consumers and customized design is available to meet the personal demand of customers, said the company's chief engineer Qin Wei.
On average, color mixers can produce customized colors in 20 minutes and products can be launched within one working day after comparison and confirmation.
In 2018, the company invested an estimated 8 million yuan ($1.14 million) in developing the innovative soft stone materials.
The company's sales topped 80 million yuan in 2022.
