The rapid development of artificial intelligence technology in recent years has galvanized Hailing Industrial Park – located in the Hailing district of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – to ramp up the development of its smart homes appliance industry.
LG Electronics Refrigeration Co Ltd in the park is the biggest refrigeration production center for the LG Group in the world.

At present, the installation of its refrigeration IV production line is underway, for a new VS6 double-door refrigerator.
The line produces 2,000-2,200 refrigerators per day on average and there will be an estimated 95 sets of intelligent equipment in the workshop, with a networking rate of over 98 percent, said workshop manager Chen Fei.
Another company, South Korean-owned Taizhou Starion Electronics Co Ltd, mainly produces chip components, optoelectronic devices and refrigerator parts.
In its workshop, products are delivered to each process through conveyor belts and nearly 30 staff work together at one production line.
Meanwhile Xingxing Electronic (Taizhou) Co Ltd, a supplier of circuit boards to LG Electronics, settled in the park in 2007.
This company's intelligent equipment has introduced automation to a full set of procedures.
