Concerted efforts are being made by Hailing district of Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province, to boost the quality development of urban renewal work to create a more beautiful living environment for its residents.
The district is advancing the construction of transport infrastructure, making it more efficient and convenient for locals to travel.
This year, Hailing will build a series of convenient roads such as the north extension of Weiguang Road, the south extension of Chunshen Road and Laodonghe Road – all of which will be completed within 2024.
Hailing is also acting to ensure that all residents have a house to live in and what's more that they live in a good house.
At the construction site of the Sansen resettlement area located on the east side of Jiangzhou North Road and the south side of Senyuan Road, workers have been conducting ground concrete leveling.
With an investment of 800 million yuan ($110.22 million), plans are to construct two 18-story buildings, six 17-story buildings, one community building and support facilities, providing 714 residential units on completion.
In addition, through the renovation of old residential areas, Hailing district is striving to make the achievements of urban renewal affordable to residents.
In Yingchun community, a new electric vehicle parking shed and 4,320-meter-long rainwater and sewage pipeline network has been built.
This year, Hailing will conduct the renovation of 13 old residential areas, involving 185 buildings and 4,716 households, to improve the living environment of its residents.
