Construction of Phase II of the Huahui Zhigu (Taizhou) smart home appliance industry park in the Hailing district of Taizhou city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – is now well underway and is reportedly progressing smoothly, according to the contractors.
Equipped with functional areas – including an office, research and development and living facilities – the industry park is understood to be committed to building a "24-hour innovative and dynamic community" in the main urban area of Taizhou.
At present, Phase I of the project has entered delivery mode. Zhang Xuelian, project general manager, said that 80 percent of the completed Phase I have been booked, with most residents engaged in smart home appliances, intelligent manufacturing, the headquarters economy and the modern information technology industries.
Right now Phase II, which started construction in January, has completed 20 percent of the build and the project is expected to be completed by the end of the current year.
With a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan ($346.30 million), the Huahui Zhigu (Taizhou) smart home appliance industry park will occupy a floor space of 145,000 square meters.
"When operating, it's expected to achieve annual sales revenue of 2 billion yuan and provide nearly 2,000 employment opportunities," general manager Zhang Xuelian said.
