With the temperatures on the rise, the eagerly anticipated blooming season has begun for roses in the Hailing district of Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province, bringing with it vibrant splashes of rich, sumptuous color.
May is the peak rose-flowering period and there are plenty of resplendent flower appreciation sites about – like those on Hailing's Chunlan Road, Jichuan Road and elsewhere.
The wafting fragrances of the flowers intertwine in the air with the fresh, heady scents of early summer, delighting the residents.
