The Beishan Community Family Pharmacist Studio, the first family pharmacist studio in Hailing district of Taizhou city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – was launched on April 17.
This studio will provide precise services for the chronic patient population in communities of Beishan, Dapu, Daohe, and Yanhua.
It was established to further enhance the level of pharmaceutical services and management capabilities for chronic disease medications and home-based drug treatments in the district.
Currently, the studio offers a wide range of services – including traditional Chinese medicine, physical therapies, massages, rehabilitation and medication retrievals – making it much more convenient for nearby residents to seek medical advice.

The first batch of contracted services provided by the studio mainly targets the elderly and patients with chronic medical conditions.
It regularly provides pharmaceutical services to the public – including medication treatment management, pharmaceutical consultations, science popularization and education, home pharmacy management and the establishment of medication management records.
Since the start of the year, the district health commission has continued to innovate the service model of grassroots pharmacists.
This aim is to regularly offer safe and reasonable medication guidance for residents under its jurisdiction, especially the elderly and chronic illness patients.
