March is a magical time, with fragrant plum blossoms blooming in the People's Park, Nanshanlyu Temple, the Daohe Ancient Block and other enchanting places in Hailing district of Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province.

The ravishing scenery and balmy weather attract a whole host of visitors to pay a visit and take photos.

On the grounds of the Memorial Hall of Mei Lanfang, a celebrated Peking Opera master, over 140 plum trees featuring over 10 species can be found. The blooming period of the spring plums there runs from mid-February to mid-March.

"The memorial hall strives to create an all-season garden, which features flowers throughout the four seasons. Recently, plum blossoms have been the main attraction, with their different varieties having different flowering periods," said Cao Hongjin, head of the hall's safety management department.

With the temperature rising recently, people can appreciate plum blossoms that can be seen through the hollows of flower windows and the gaps in the rockery, creating a unique charm, Cao added.

Elsewhere, the plum blossoms in Tiandehu Park are experiencing vibrant growth. The plum blossom creek near the west gate of the park covers an area of 1,500 square meters, containing over 40 types of plum blossoms.

Taizhou and plum blossom have close connections, as the plum blossom is the city flower. Loving, viewing and appreciating plum blossoms has become an essential part of the lives of Taizhou's folks.
