A recruitment fair took place on Feb 25 in Wanda Plaza – located in the Hailing district of Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – offering 5,000 positions to job seekers.
Over 100 enterprises attended, involved in the fields of intelligent manufacturing, new energy and commercial services, among other areas.
The organizers also arranged for municipal staff to meet young people in person to discuss Hailing's employment and entrepreneurship policies.
Elsewhere, a live streaming job promotions section was established on-site, enabling job seekers to learn about the fair through their electronic devices. The online service attracted 5,473 viewers and received 30,228 visits and 241 resumes.
The fair was timed for the "peak period" of employment, which takes place after the Spring Festival, providing a communications platform for both enterprises and job seekers.
As a result, the event attracted over 5,000 participants, with 2,716 people receiving firm expressions of interest from employers.
Moving forward, plans are for the Hailing human resources and social security bureau to provide an essential guarantee for key enterprises and projects in the current year. It will also hold over 100 online and offline job fairs in 2024.
Online initiatives will focus on live streaming job guidance and recruitment, while offline action will take the form of gig markets, employment service stations and university recruitment drives, among others.
