A group of expats students from Taizhou University recently visited the Hailing district of Taizhou, in East China's Jiangsu province, to explore the dynamic industry and attractive scenery there.
At the Hailing photovoltaic industry exhibition hall, immersive experiences enabled them to learn about the formation of the sun, the principles of solar power and the application scenarios of its technology.
"By experiencing diverse photovoltaic products, I learned that solar power makes our lives green and low carbon," said Peng Sen, a student from Myanmar.
Elsewhere, at local company DAS SOLAR (Taizhou) Co Ltd, the expats toured its photovoltaic power digital workshop that has adopted automated production lines.
"The robots in the workshop were impressed me and I was amazed that the production of solar cells is such a creative process," said An Peng, from Bangladesh.
The visitors also explored the lavender theme park in Hailing, which cultivates over 100 vanilla varieties. The park is an ecological park that integrates a range of ventures including lavender viewing, Western-style church weddings and interactive parent-child activities.
