The latest statistics show that the Taizhou new energy industrial park – located in the Hailing district of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – turned in a star performance last year.
The industrial output value of industries above a designated size hit 24.2 billion yuan there last year and industrial billing sales hit 24 billion yuan, both up more than 60 percent year-on-year.
Although occupying less than 8 percent of the district's area, the park last year contributed 30 percent of its industrial investment value, as well as 40 percent of industrial output value of sectors above a designated size and foreign investment in actual use.
That's in no small part to the park leveraging its resident leading enterprises like LONGi Solar Technology (Jiangsu) Co Ltd and DAS Solar (Taizhou) Co Ltd. As a result, more than 20 new energy upstream and downstream enterprises settled there last year.

At present, the park is moving to develop an industrial configuration that takes new energy industry as the lead, with the modern intelligent home and equipment manufacturing industry leading the way.
Plans are for the park to strengthen its regional associations, industrial integration and resource integration in the near future, said Wang Jianjun, a Hailing official.
