Jiangsu Haiyang Nylon New Material, based in the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone in Taizhou city, East China's Jiangsu province, started construction on its 80,000 metric tons of high-performance curtain fabrics plant on Sept 24.
Established in 2013, the company specializes in the production and sales of nylon 6 slices, impregnated curtain fabrics and other products.
Costing 1.1 billion yuan ($155.61 million), the plant will install four high-performance curtain fabrics production lines and is expected to be completed and start operations by next December.
The project will introduce imported equipment such as fabrics machines and feature public engineering systems and intelligent three-dimensional warehouses.
It will rely on technologies such as 5G networks and a manufacturing execution system to digitize the production process, improving production efficiency and reducing production costs.
The plant is another key project in the company's three-year plan, coming in the wake of an expansion project for colored slicing and impregnated curtain fabrics.
Moving forwards, plans are for the company to gradually implement a series of projects for such things in fields like differentiated slicing and spinning.
