A low-temperature plasma radiofrequency surgical system that has been developed by Jiangsu Bonss Medical Technology – located in the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone in Taizhou, in East China's Jiangsu province – is fulfilling an important field in the country.
"Completing minimally invasive surgery with a 'knife' and a hemostatic forceps is enough," said Huang Xuehua, chairman of the company.
What the company calls a "knife" is a low temperature plasma radiofrequency surgical system that it has developed over the course of a decade.
Huang added that a plasma radiofrequency surgical system integrates multiple functions such as drip injections, suction, cutting, ablation and hemostasis, which can make it simpler and more convenient for the operations of doctors and can also reduce the pain and burden on patients.

Currently, the surgical system is being widely used in minimally invasive surgery in ear, nose, throat, head and neck surgery, as well as in orthopedic joint and spine surgery and in urology and gynecology.
Overall, the surgical system has been exported to more than 80 countries, including Russia and France.
Moving forwards, plans are for the company to further develop and improve a series of energy platform technologies including plasma, intravenous radiofrequency and microwave functionality to provide innovative products for clinical use.
