The city of Taizhou – located in East China's Jiangsu province – was recently recognized as one of 54 national experimental zones for the inheritance, innovation and development of traditional Chinese medicine, or TCM.
According to industry experts, greater efforts need to be made to integrate resources, build platforms, galvanize industries and benefit both people and enterprises – promoting the high-quality development of the TCM sector.
Previously, Taizhou was the first recognized demonstration area for TCM health tourism in Jiangsu province and the Longfengtang Industrial Tourism Zone – located in the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone in the city – has been recognized as a provincial-level demonstration base in the field of endeavor.
What's more, on the opening day of the 14th China (Taizhou) International Medical Expo on Oct 19 last year, 26 units jointly launched the Traditional Chinese Medicine Culture Communication Consortium in the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone.
