Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone – located in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – has launched the first used car export business in Taizhou, in the wake of guidelines announced by national government departments in February for the export of used cars.
Taizhou Automobile City Co Ltd completed a used car export business on April 23 in partnership with Jiangsu Shanglong International Trade Co Ltd – both based in the zone – clearing the way for the first batch of used cars to be shipped from Taizhou Comprehensive Bonded Zone to Belarus.
That followed the first attempt made by the zone to establish a bonded plus used car export model to facilitate the export of used cars.
This is expected to shorten the time for company tax refunds and improve the speed of customs clearances for enterprises.
The zone is home to an estimated 65 car sales companies and two used car sales companies.
Zone officials visited the Ministry of Commerce in Beijing and the Jiangsu province commerce department on Feb 6 to actively coordinate the application of qualifications and conditions, streamlining things so that enterprises could quickly apply for the export qualifications.
This benefited Taizhou Automobile City Co Ltd, which became the first company in Taizhou to obtain the qualification for used car exports in March, paving the way for it to receive an export license.
