The Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone – located in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – will continue pursuing major projects, growth projects and important platform carrier projects, to bolster its high-quality development through their construction.
As a result, the zone aims to sign up over 90 projects worth over 500 million yuan ($69.45 million) each in 2024.
Among these, two will be major projects worth over 10 billion yuan each, three projects will cost 5-10 billion yuan each and five will involve funding of 3-5 billion yuan each.
Plans are for great efforts to be made by the zone to boost the construction of projects. For example, it will establish special service teams for major projects, boost the region's profile with such events as the China (Taizhou) International Medical Expo and conduct over 50 investment marketing activities throughout the year.
The zone has set a target of breaking ground on 100 projects worth 100 million yuan each and completing the construction of 70 projects worth over 100 million yuan each in the current year.
Moreover, it will highlight the advantages and features of platform carriers. For example, the zone will accelerate the construction of a non-clinical drug research center, filling a gap in Good Laboratory Practice certification and in other areas.
Overall, the zone will offer more support to nurture resident businesses. It's scheduled to implement more than 20 scientific and technological innovation projects throughout the year, add 40 specialized and sophisticated enterprises, as well as 60 new companies paying taxes of over 2 million yuan.
