Ye Donghua, vice-mayor of Taizhou city – located in East China's Jiangsu province – visited manufacturer Jiangsu Haiyang Technology Co Ltd on Oct 10 in the Gaogang district of the city, also known as the Taizhou Medical High Tech Zone, to learn more about its development.

The company plans to invest 1.1 billion yuan ($150.54 million) to build four high-performance curtain fabric production lines – utilizing 5G networks to achieve its digital transformation.
This is expected to improve its production efficiency and reduce costs and as a result the company is projected to generate annual revenue of 1.68 billion.
Ye praised the company's development and called on it to continue to innovate and seize opportunities to improve its core competitiveness.
He urged the zone and relevant departments to strengthen their coordination, provide efficient services and resolve any bottlenecks or difficulties the project might face.
The goal is to start construction of the curtain fabric project before the end of the year, achieving faster development in the region.
