Two companies from the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone – also known as Gaogang district, located in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – did really well recently in a prestigious competition.
They stood out from their peers in the biopharmaceuticals industry and were honored in the Jiangsu division of the 12th China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Competition on Aug 21.
The two companies – Universalvax Biotechnologies Co and Leiling Bio – were incubated in the vaccine engineering center in Gaogang district. They've been settled there for no more than a year and three and a half years, respectively.
Founded in September 2022, Universalvax Biotechnologies develops vaccine products that can prevent diseases caused by viruses and bacteria and it supplies vaccines to the public.
The company is composed of a group of specialists in research and development, production management, quality assurance and applications, and has a core technical team for the development and planning of new vaccines in the United States.
Leiling Bio has applied cutting-edge science and technology to animal health since its establishment in April 2020.
Its main research focus is on physical disinfection and sterilization, diagnostic reagents, new drugs, vaccines and production processes and it aims to develop high-tech, high-quality products for both human and animals.
The vaccine engineering center in Gaogang district has incubated about 50 companies and developed a group of innovative vaccine products.
It has been accredited by the China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment, or CNAS and it has obtained ISO9001 Quality Management certification.
