Taizhou city pledged to sign up at least 300 projects worth more than 500 million yuan ($72.35 million) each this year, including at least 70 international-funded projects, according to a municipal investment attraction conference held on March 1.

The city of Taizhou organized a trip to Japan undertaken on Feb 17-24 by 10 trade-economic delegations and 17 foreign trade and overseas-funded enterprises, to secure orders and attract investment.

Hailing district – located in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – is continuing to advance its new materials sector, in order to marshal strong drivers for its high-quality industrial development.

Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone – a national development zone located in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – has been beefing up project construction recently.

Taixing's economy went from strength to strength last year, with its GDP and growth both ranking first in Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province.

A groundbreaking ceremony for 31 major new projects of Xinghua city took place on Feb 18.

Imports and exports by Taizhou city reached a record 130.73 billion yuan ($19.35 billion) in 2022, up 8.2 percent year-on-year, which was 3.4 percentage points high than the province.

Plans are for Taizhou to accelerate the pace of development of its big health industry system and for it to become a leading health city in the country, with different areas in the metropolis making moves to promote the sector.
