15th China (Taizhou) International Medical Expo opens

The 15th China (Taizhou) International Medical Expo opened on Nov 29 in the China Medical City in Taizhou, Jiangsu. This year's event, with the tagline "Developing New Quality Productive Forces, Sharing a Healthy Future", highlights cutting-edge advancements in the biopharmaceutical and health sectors.

Zhao Yan, vice-governor of Jiangsu, commended Taizhou for leveraging the expo to establish itself as a hub for the biopharmaceutical industry. Zhao urged the city to capitalize on this opportunity by fostering innovation, enhancing basic research, strengthening global partnerships, and creating a more business-friendly environment.  

Spanning over 30,000 square meters, the expo features 300 leading companies, including industry giants like AstraZeneca, Boehringer Ingelheim, and Nestle Health Science. Prominent Chinese companies such as Sinopharm, Humanwell Pharmaceutical, and China Resources Gosun Pharmaceutlicals are showcasing their flagship products and technologies. Additionally, innovative startups like Shanghai Cell Therapy Group, NeuroDawn Pharmaceutical, and Biointron Biological are introducing breakthrough solutions.

A key highlight of the event was the establishment of the Taizhou Life Sciences Laboratory, dedicated to advancing target discovery and supporting innovation across the entire life sciences value chain.

The expo continues to elevate Taizhou's status as a global player in the biopharmaceutical industry, supporting its mission to drive high-quality development in Jiangsu province's health sector.
