Hailing district in Taizhou has recently launched a new map offering tourists a comprehensive guide to the ancestral home and theatrical legacy of the renowned Peking Opera master Mei Lanfang. The guide commemorates the 130th anniversary of Mei's birth, showcasing key locations associated with his life and work.

The meticulously crafted digital map features hand-drawn illustrations and includes 13 significant sites related to Mei's activities during his 1956 homecoming, such as the Mei family residence, the site of the Mei family sculpture workshop, and various cultural landmarks. Additionally, the map highlights 27 important sites related to Taizhou's opera culture, including the Mei Lanfang Memorial Pavilion, Mei Lanfang Memorial Hall, and the Mei Lanfang Grand Theatre.

Thanks to the intuitive interface, visitors can easily navigate to each location, as the system provides brief descriptions and navigation options for each point of interest.

Hailing district has long been dedicated to promoting opera culture, organizing activities such as opera gatherings and research initiatives, and publishing works related to Mei's life and legacy.

The guide not only enhances the tourist experience but also reinforces Taizhou's status as a cultural hub dedicated to preserving and celebrating its rich theatrical heritage.
