During the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday from Sept 15 to 17, Taizhou's major shopping districts offered delightful consumption experiences for residents and visitors. According to the city's commerce bureau, 47 key commercial enterprises achieved sales of 83.16 million yuan ($11.72 million) during the holiday, marking a 2.9 percent increase year-on-year.

An energy-efficient appliance exchange event proved popular among consumers, with many families visiting malls to trade old appliances for new, energy-efficient models. The automotive sector also saw a surge, with dealers offering discounts, subsidies, and promotions on new energy vehicles, fuel cars, and related services.

Additionally, Taizhou leveraged home renovation trends with initiatives like kitchen and bathroom updates and aging-in-place improvements. Many residents engaged with these offers over the holiday.

Hailing district emerged as a hotspot with themed promotions from major retailers, while large complexes such as Wanda offered discounts and special offers. In the Jiangyan district, businesses tapped into consumer potential with events like the "Playful Mid-Autumn Festival" and "Mid-Autumn Wonderland", attracting crowds with discounts and special activities.

In the Medical High-Tech Zone, exhibitions became a trendsetter, with a car show featuring 32 brands like Avatr and Nio drawing significant visitor interest and generating over 100 potential car sales.

Markets in Taixing, Jingjiang, and Xinghua also thrived with diverse activities. Taixing's gourmand festival and pet-themed promotions attracted families, while Jingjiang and Xinghua hosted indoor and online events, including traditional celebrations and interactive promotions, driving consumer engagement and spending.
