Taixing city's equipment updates add new momentum

Since the start of the year, Taixing city in East China's Jiangsu province, has guided its business enterprises to prioritize their high-end, intelligent, green and safe development, coupled with the smooth upscaling of equipment updates and renovations.

With the arrival of a new round of industrial equipment updates, industry – especially traditional industry – has ushered in new opportunities for its transformation and upgrading, according to the city's bureau of industry and information technology.

That's led established chemical manufacturer Taixing Lingfei Chemical Technology to add a high-end surfactant preparation production line in order to reduce production energy consumption.

In the Taixing High-tech Zone, Jiangsu Tailong Decelerator Machinery has this year renovated 47 sets of conventional equipment, such as boring machines and gear hobbing machines, and installed an intelligent flexible production line to achieve 24-hour unmanned automated operations.

Overall, in Taixing, equipment updates have brought new momentum and quality effects to the regional economy.

In the first six months, among the 35 major industry categories in Taixing, 22 industries posted a year-on-year increase in invoiced sales.

Not long ago, Taixing issued an implementation plan for promoting equipment renewals in the industrial sector, highlighting aspects of revitalizing key core equipment and promoting intelligent, digital and networks coverage.

It also highlighted fostering green, low-carbon, energy-saving and intensive development, as well as improving the intrinsic safety of equipment.

According to the plan, by 2025 the city's investment scale in industrial equipment will have increased by more than 15 percent compared with 2023.
