A delegation of seven representatives from Italian cultural and tourism organizations and the media visited Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province on May 15 to explore the local attractions and boost bilateral cooperation in tourism.
During the one-day tour, the delegation visited the Mei Lanfang Memorial Hall, the Taizhou (Yangzhou-style) Bonsai Exhibition Hall and the Taihetang national medicine pavilion – a Taizhou traditional Chinese medicine culture exhibition hall.
They learned about Peking opera, admired elegant bonsai displays and experienced traditional Chinese medicine practices like acupuncture and sampled health teas.

This visit was part of an initiative by the provincial culture and tourism department to revive inbound tourism and promote the "Watery Charm of Jiangsu" brand globally.
On May 15-20, delegations from Italy, Spain, Australia, Singapore and Malaysia will discover Taizhou's natural beauty, cultural heritage, local cuisine and vibrant atmosphere.
