The Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone – located in Taixing city in East China's Jiangsu province – is currently advancing the creation of its bio-fermentation and future food industry at full speed.

The Bio-Fermentation and Future Food City of China, being built in the zone, is now inviting design consultancies from home and abroad to participate in the bidding for its engineering design planning.

The Bio-Fermentation and Future Food City of China aims to develop high-value-added bio-fermentation products and top-quality future food.

Future food applies innovative biotechnology to manufacture attractive new food products and ingredients that are both nutritious and sustainable.

The future food city is built to create a major health industry cluster that will mainly focus on food enzyme preparations, functional carbohydrates, polypeptides and amino acids and probiotics, among others.

It will be involved in core projects for food for special medical purposes, nutritional supplements and after-exercise maintenance products. Moreover, it will accelerate the pace of attracting interested enterprises to form a 10-billion-yuan ($1.38-billion) industry scale by the end of the 14th Five-year Plan period (2021-25).

Plans are for it to implement what is called the 3113 Project to develop a future food industry alliance.

That indicates a total planning area of 3,000 mu (200 hectares), a total investment of no less than 10 billion yuan, a total output value of 100 billion yuan or more and a tax revenue of no less than 3 billion yuan.

Overall, it will follow to the vision of "leading the world trend in China, representing the Chinese level in the world".

Dedicated efforts will be made to construct the area into a new industrial one – equipped with advanced research and development institutes, innovative production teams, industrial tourism resources and commercial service companies.

Founded in 2009, the Taixing Huangqiao Economic Development Zone covers a planning area of 18 square kilometers. It was rated as a provincial economic development zone by Jiangsu provincial government in September 2018.

Situated in the economic circle of the integrated regional development of the Yangtze River Delta, it is said to offer great location advantages to resident businesses.

With a complete transportation system, the Rutai Canal provides a shipping conduit connecting the Yangtze River and the Yellow Sea – with seven airports in a 200-kilometer radius and with the Xinyi-Changxing Railway and the Shanghai-Nanjing-Hefei High-speed Railway having stations nearby.

What's more, the zone is equipped with a stable supply of water, electricity, gas, and heat – as well as a sewage treatment plant with a daily treatment capacity of 20,000 metric tons.

Right now, it's inviting leading design companies worldwide to bid for the land planning and design project of the Bio-Fermentation and Future Food City of China. People who are interested can contact Mrs Zhang on 19591580035.
