Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province hosted a promotions conference for the 14th Taizhou International Tourism Festival in East China's Shanghai on March 16.
The festival is part of the 2024 Yangtze River Delta cultural and tourism fair, spring edition.
The 14th Taizhou International Tourism Festival, which started on April 5, runs to May 5. It features over 50 cultural and tourism events, offering residents and tourists alike a vibrant carnival of cultural and tourism experiences.
During the promotional event, in addition to showcasing traditional Chinese opera and music to the Shanghai audience, Taizhou presented the cultural and tourism resources of its Jiangyan district and the Taizhou Medical High-tech Zone (Gaogang district).
Shanghai residents were warmly invited to Taizhou to enjoy zaocha or early morning tea, admire blooming flowers, appreciate performances and to explore the waterland.
Spring is said to be the most beautiful season in Taizhou. Since 2009, the city has capitalized on its unique springtime tourism resources by hosting the Taizhou International Tourism Festival annually.
Now in its 14th edition, the festival has become a well-known brand, driving the spring tourism market and promoting cultural and tourism cooperation and exchanges.
