Taizhou tax bureau tailors services to big businesses

The Taizhou municipal tax branch of the State Taxation Administration – or the Taizhou tax bureau for short – held a Spring Festival news conference on March 5, announcing 10 customized service initiatives especially tailored to help big businesses.

These companies are seen as being vital players in various sectors and regions, contributing significantly to the economic landscape of Taizhou city, located in East China's Jiangsu province.

With over 60 percent of the city's tax revenue coming from these enterprises, the bureau aims to provide targeted assistance to ensure their sustained development.

The initiatives include providing clear policy guidance, ensuring consistent policy implementation and appointing tax experts as coordinators for large enterprises.

These efforts are said to be geared towards fostering closer collaboration between tax authorities and businesses, minimizing tax-related risks and facilitating smooth operations.

It's making special arrangements, for example, for a business category called the Thousand Large Groups – companies whose annual tax payments meet the management service standards of the State Taxation Administration – headquartered in Taizhou – as well as for key taxpayers listed by provincial and municipal tax bureaus.

Plans are for the Taizhou tax bureau to appoint tax experts as coordinators for large enterprises, establish a service team and build a coordinator network.

This is expected to ensure a timely response to individual tax-related needs, provide point-to-point services and foster a new type of trust-based cooperation between tax authorities and enterprises.

Shuangdeng Group, a major contributor to Taizhou's tax revenue, has acknowledged the bureau's proactive assistance, particularly during critical moments such as preparations to list its shares on the stock market.

Overall, the implementation of the tailored services is anticipated to bolster a better understanding of tax regulations by enterprises, enhance their cooperation with the tax authorities and foster continued progress towards their development objectives.
