Five enterprises from the Jiangyan Economic Development Zone – located in the Jiangyan district of Taizhou city in East China's Jiangsu province – were recently included on the list for the second batch of Enterprise Cloud Migration companies for last year.
The information was released by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology on Jan 15.
The term "Enterprise Cloud Migration" refers to the deployment of basic systems, operations and platforms to the cloud through the internet – utilizing convenient access to computing, storage, software and data services.
This process is said to help reduce the cost of digital transformation and to reconstruct the core competitiveness of enterprises. It is considered a key means to promote the intelligent transformation and digitalization of small and medium-sized businesses.
Last year, in total 37 enterprises from the development zone were included on the list, with four achieving a five-star rating, one achieving a four-star rating and 32 companies achieving a three-star rating.
