A seminar focusing on building a healthy China was held on Oct 20 at the China Medical City Convention Trade Center – located in the Taizhou Medical High Tech Zone, in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province.
The goal was to help pave the way for the development of a healthy China and establish the essential foundation for Chinese-style modernization in healthcare.

The seminar brought together prominent figures, industry leaders and academics from various fields to engage in discussions surrounding the advancement of a 'Healthy China' and the exchange of ideas.
High-profile guests – including Yang Zhen, the vice chairman of the CPPCC National Committee and Yu Xuejun, the deputy head of the National Health Commission – were also in attendance.
The opening ceremony featured speeches from Yang Zhen, Yu Xuejun, Zhao Yan – vice-governor of Jiangsu province – and Zhu Lifan, secretary of the CPC Taizhou Municipal Committee.
Yang Zhen emphasized the significance of health in the country's overall development and expressed his hope that the seminar would serve as a crucial platform for the exchange of ideas and the formation of consensus – to support the party's efforts in the field of the construction of a healthy China.
Yu Xuejun emphasized the importance of prioritizing people's health in the development strategy, while vice-governor Zhao Yan highlighted the endeavors made by Jiangsu province to promote the development of a healthy China.
Zhu Lifan underlined the city of Taizhou's dedication to becoming a "healthy city" that advocates health and provides high-quality healthcare services.
