Digital, smart transformation boosts Jingjiang company

The installation of intelligent equipment in the plant operated by  Jiangsu Dazhong Electric Motors Co Ltd – based in the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone in Taizhou city, in East China's Jiangsu province – has radically transformed the company's efficiency and boosted its development.

Established in 1958, the group manufactures a range of motors and the intelligent production plant it established in the Jingjiang Economic and Technological Development Zone recently started operations and was listed as major provincial project.

"The improvement of production efficiency has greatly boosted our development. Now we have orders worth over 500 million yuan ($72.62 million)," said general manager Ye Haibin.

"We have invested over 300 million yuan in the first phase of introducing the advanced production lines," Ye added.

With the help of digital, smart technology, the annual output of intelligent motors is now estimated to top 300,000 units.

The second phase of Dazhong's intelligent motor project is also under way. On completion, the new plant is projected to generate annual sales of 1 billion yuan.
