The city of Taizhou – located in East China's Jiangsu province – organized a trip to Japan undertaken on Feb 17-24 by 10 trade-economic delegations and 17 foreign trade and overseas-funded enterprises, to secure orders and attract investment.
The delegations visited over 40 leading Japanese groups including Toyota and Fujitsu General and negotiated a package of investments and preliminary contract agreements worth a total of $410 million.

In addition, nine foreign trade enterprises on the tour reached 18 trade orders with 18 Japanese enterprises, involving $27.85 million in potential imports and exports.
The orders cover the fields of biomedicines, sports goods, the smart home, machinery manufacturing, hardware products, LCD modules, electromechanical tools, as well as high-end baking and manufacturing equipment.
During the visit, the Taizhou municipal commerce bureau held a Taizhou-Tokyo investment promotions conference and 14 top Japanese enterprises and associations – including Hi-Think Japan, IMC and GMS – attended.
County-level cities and districts in Taizhou also carried out a series of promotions, such as the Xinghua-Tokyo economic and trade fair and the Hailing-Nagoya investment promotions conference.
