Auto parts group Dwfulai builds intelligent output workshop

Dwfulai Auto Parts Co Ltd – based in Taixing city, administered by the prefecture-level city of Taizhou, in East China's Jiangsu province – is a business that is clearly on the move.

Each day, dozens of robots are to be seen on the shop floor, moving their various appendages about in all directions, in order to assemble and deploy automobile parts on the production line.

Dwfulai is a high-tech enterprise specializing in research and development, design, as well as the manufacture and sales of automotive sunroof parts. In its intelligent workshop, it is routine to see robots and humans working side by side.

With the maturity of remote sensing and conduction technology, the automotive industry has realized a variety of intelligent sunroof control methods.

This has given the company the idea of enhancing the intelligence of its products, said deputy general manager Sun Shuming. 　　

The company bought a set of German glass-wrapping equipment to make a panoramic sunroof that realizes intelligent anti-pinch functionality – providing a safer environment for passengers, especially children.

What's more, the group is paying attention to production workshop intelligence. It has invested 10 million yuan ($1.43 billion) for a new sunroof assembly line and uses many robots now to improve overall efficiency.

Through its intelligent transformation, product output has increased by 18 percent. The overtime workload has been reduced by 22 percent and labor productivity has increased by 13 percent.

At present, the company has formed support facilities with auto manufacturers Great Wall Motor, Volkswagen, NIO and others and its sales are expected to top 700 million yuan this year.
