Taixing city's Gensi township ramps up industrial economy

Workers from Bocheng new technology materials company – located in Gensi township, Taixing city, in East China's Jiangsu province – are currently busy producing new products of glass fiber cloth, which are widely used in new energy vehicles, wind and solar energy and in other fields.

Bocheng mainly deals with diverse highly functional industrial, high-temperature resistant composites. Recently it's been inundated with orders due to strong demand, according to its general manager.

The company can be seen as a microcosm of Gensi's industrial development. In recent years, with the advantages of being located in the suburbs and close to the highway, the town has accelerated its industrial economy transformation.

It has guided local key enterprises – like Long Yi terminals and Peng Jiang electronics – to strengthen their technological transformation and brand creation.

Peng Jiang electronics has invested 120 million yuan ($17.19 million) on radar and ancillary equipment manufacturing projects this year and it's estimated it will generate 120 million yuan in sales from them.

Overall, Gensi township is focusing on the role of the real economy. It provides guidance and support for its resident businesses to develop rapidly through independent technology upgrades, making every effort to build itself up a highland for new industry.

Moving forwards, plans are for Gensi to expand its coverage of enterprise services – so they businesses can grasp the opportunities and issues – offering them land, energy, capital, the environment and other support.
